This exhibition, in agenda for months in advance, was held in the absence of Madoi as he died on March 13th, six days before the opening. The family took great care in respecting this appointment as Madoi considered a personal privilege and an acknowledgement to his art having this prestigious location as set for his most significant art works. The Palazzo dei Diamanti, an imponent palace commissioned by Sigismondo D’ Este in 1493 for his brother Ercole I d’ Este, is property of the Town Council of Ferrara since 1832, and in recent years is open to the most famous art exhibitions.
